When I first started painting again as grief therapy, I really tried to use media I could manage in a small space, so I started out with ink (needless to say ART has become so much more than just therapy; it's my life so I'm using whatever I can to create my art).
Back in 2009-2010, *I used INK in all of its dimensions: acrylic, alcohol, india, etc.* As I progress on my renewed journey as an artist, I am discovering that I love the way alcohol inks flow and meld together to create all sorts of wonderful shapes and images... very unpredictable, yet greatly satisfying (creatively speaking). I now use them in all sorts of ways, including collage such as in "Blue Moon Trance"
This is a mixed media collage made using india ink on paper and alcohol ink on ultra thick Yupo.
