I was playing her CD
and listening to that song
as I worked on this collage...
You know, she's right,
when a woman is in love,
she glows...
It's like she's wearing
a badge saying,
"Look at me, I'm so happy, I'm in LOVE!"
This mixed media collage is made from layers of painted paper, painted facial wipes, acrylic, wax pastels, ink, and metal on Canson heavyweight watercolor paper.

Ah yes, i remember Phoebe Snow from back in the day. Very nice piece.

Thanks a million, Alga! Someone criticized me for not including her (my) eyes in this piece... said the way a woman in love glows is through her eyes. Of course, that is ONE way a woman glows...BUT there are other ways as well. Here, I was trying to convey that inner glow through the use of color and the glow of her smile... remembering the first kiss with my partner... it wasn't a physical thing at all... it was all very "soulful" as I recollect. I really appreciate you and Nicole commenting on this piece (in the positive)... makes me feel so much better since I am such a fan of your work! :-)
