Description
This mixed media collage was made using painted freezer paper, Canson 140# CP watercolor paper, acrylic, wax pastels, and ink.
It was inspired by a poem my partner wrote called *Out of the Cosmic Rain*:
Rain...
it is coming...
it is almost here.
We can see it in the distance,
rapidly approaching:
relentlessly,
irresistably,
nurturing and purifying
everything that it touches.
Here it comes... the rain...
The Cosmic Rain.
We await its arrival
and let the advancing droplets
bounce off our bodies,
delighting in its touch.
And then
before we are drenched
I lead you
hurriedly,
protectively,
to a haven,
a safe place
from where we can watch
this single act in God's Grand Design...
A place where I can shield you,
protect you,
envelope you,
bathe you with my love,
and keep you safe;
out of the downpour...
out of the Cosmic Rain.
