When I saw this stone, I had to have it to incorporate into a future encaustic painting.
As I gazed at it, I saw the tip of a lone canoe on a lake of blue... with rocks along the shore...
Of course, it’s all my imagination because this is really a Chrysocolla-Malachite stone I got while on vacation in Arizona earlier this month. Blue chrysocolla, copper silicate, blended with green malachite and copper carbonate. I’m told this stone is found in the oxidation zone of Copper deposits and was discovered in Arizona, the leading copper producing state in the 1700s.
The Chrysocolla stone is associated with serenity, tranquility, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance, unconditional love, meditation, calmness, hope, gentleness, and sensitivity.

Thanks, Lenore. I had hoped you'd like this one... didn't trust my camera or skill at taking pictures so I just scanned it to get all the rich detail in the stone and then cropped out the two images I saw when I purchased it. Wish you could see it in person... it is most unusual. :-)
