This painting was actually done by Joshua D.W. Broomfield (my late son). This was one of his first paintings (age 10) - Josh was killed in a tragic case of mistaken identity on March 4, 2009 at the young and promising age of 20. I offer prints of his work for all who requested it because I cannot part with the original.

Dear Angela: This painting is a reflection of Joshua's spirit, which is made manifest by the memories of him, kept by you, his family, and his friends. Know that we are all moving towards the light, some of us getting there sooner than later. Peace & Blessings, Walter
Angela L Walker replied:
Thank you, Walter! Today was the first sale of this painting since I uploaded it to FAA. The original piece is 18 x 24 so you can probably imagine how proud a 10 year old would be at such a large accomplishment! I only wish my son was here to see how much others admire his gift and his ability to share it. I really appreciate your comments... they are truly a blessing to me on this day! Sincerely and from the depths of my heart, Angela

Love Joshua's use of primary colors here and the title is fantastic, displaying an understanding beyond his years. Beautifully done....

Angela L Walker replied:
Thanks so much Lenore. You would probably have enjoyed the conversation I had with my 10 yr old when he asked me to help him name this piece (many years ago). I asked him what he was thinking about when he painted them and his response was "boys like me with ADHD and anything else that makes people laugh at us..." He told me that he believed other boys in the "special ed" class were really nice boys that people just didn't appreciate. I was amazed then... and your comments bring back such pleasant, profound memories. :-)
Linda Kemp
Angela, you are an amazing person and artist....what a beautiful way of honoring your son's memory.....having a 25 yr. old son myself I couldn't even begin to imagine all you have been through. Thanks for sharing his gift and yours with us all here at FAA. Keep the Faith....I believe in that too!
Angela L Walker replied:
Oh my... thank you so very much Linda. What a wonderful way to start my day! Worked in the studio all night (or so it seemed) and now I get this pleasant surprise... I really, really appreciate your comments; my son would have been so happy too! Your words provide much encouragement to me.
Gloria Ssali
what a beautiful reflection of you Angela!
Angela L Walker replied:
Gloria, no wonder you've shut me out of your world! I have no words to express how sorry I am that I missed your comments on a piece that is so important to me. You were one of my first advocates on FAA; while I thought I had thanked you for all your comments, here again I find one that I missed. One day, I pray you'll FORGIVE me and charge any perceived neglect to my head and not my heart. Sincerely replying (albeit late), Angela
