This encaustic painting was made using real coffee; the combination of the wax and coffee make for a wonderful smell. The bits of strawberry mica flakes suggests fresh fruit with that morning cup of coffee.

Angela dear... what creativity....who would of thought coffee and strawberry mica flakes! Love it! Wish you and I were having coffee together while discussing art and life etc...maybe some day. :)

Oh girl, we'd have a blast! I love talking about and sharing ideas on various art related projects - I think I'm going to start teaching workshops this year. Hopefully by the fall I'll be set up to do some small scale sessions on wax, mixed media, and collage... just dreaming...
