Description
This is a picture taken of me giving an emotional tribute to my son at the Lycrial Vibez Experience in Detroit last December. The event was a "coming out" of sorts for me... I was also the featured artist for this event. This was the first public showing of my work since Josh's death... as I held my first poetry book clutched in my hands, I was able to talk about Josh and recite all the poems I had written that were also his favorites... through the Grace of God and the help of very dear friends, I was able to share all the things Josh told me about the poems he liked and how some had impacted his life and thinking. I loved my child so very, very much.

Your face truly expresses so much of what you must of been feeling during that event....what courage and grace....and what God given love for your son that gets to be witnessed as example for others....how proud Josh is...such a moving photo Angela! fav for me
