Description
One day last year,
I woke up
with the single goal
of staying *happy*
throughout the entire day.
I wanted to experience bliss
and love
and joy...
deep inside
and bubbling up
and out
through my hands as I painted...
I wanted to produce immediate
and lasting results
of achieving this goal...
So into my stash of painted papers
I went
with the single purpose
of finding colors
to adequately describe *happiness*.
Then I turned on the pancake griddle
and let the wax heat up
and scent the room
with the warmth of honey...
*IMAGINE Happiness*
was the fruit on that day
which I still enjoy
to this one.
Encaustic mixed media collage on wood panel made from layers of my hand painted papers, metal, rub-ons, melted crayons, pigmented wax, beeswax, oil, and ink.
All papers and fabrics used in these collages were made by the artist.
