Description
I came into the therapy concept of keeping an art journal kicking and screaming... I just couldn't imagine being able to record my innermost thoughts, feelings, and beliefs in a way that wouldn't cause me to break down into tears. How wrong I was! What a wonderful therapeutic outlet! People closest to me are very happy that I've started journaling... I guess I am too! :)
This is the cover of a 7" x 10" Canson Mixed Media pad turned into yet another art journal; it is painted with acrylic and ink.

Wow what beautiful therapy you created .....gorgeous piece! I am doing the journaling too ...in fact since I have been in the art therapy class offered at the community college....I so understand all you say about that....what a challenge but what a blessing. My work has become more loose and abstract because of it....I will post some in time. v and fav for sure!!!!

Thanks so much, Judy! I ran into a new texture product and wanted to experiment with it so it seemed very fitting to use my art journals and pencil cases as my playground. :)

Oh Deborah, I really am enjoying this journaling thing... it's a chance to mix my art with my poetry and the thoughts I'd like to remember... things that remind me of how blessed I am.
