This fella was amazing! Here's the story: Back while attending the 35th Annual NOVA Conference in August of 2009, I had just "crashed" during a workshop on gun violence; an advocate had just escorted me to neutral ground (a coffee shop in the hotel) where she stayed with me as I went through the "crisis" and eventually stopped crying. This fella, from across the entire Westin Kierland Resort, sensed my grief and pulled his trainer over to where I was. When they arrived at the coffee shop, he came directly to me and sat very close to my leg; I could feel him gently touching me. The coffee shop was full of NOVA participants, but this little guy came straight to me. The trainer immediately recognized the advocate and knew that her canine crisis partner was simply doing what he does best: Comfort those who need comforting.

Oh my this is a wonderful heartwarming story.....I am so glad this special furry soul felt your pain and presented his comfort to you in his unconditional special way....I really believe God appoints certain animals with this purpose in mind ....in fact I know that personally in my life. This one was EXTRA SPECIAL! Girl, it was an amazing thing... everyone at the conference was impressed with this gentle and loving fella. He was so good at his job... so very GOOD!
