Title
2012 Studio Play - Hand Painted Tissue Paper
Artist
Angela L Walker
Medium
Painting - Acrylic & Ink On Tissue
Description
I make my own hand painted papers
for collage
and mixed media projects...
Sometimes,
I spend days and days
painting tissue paper,
rice paper,
Starbucks coffee sleeves,
deli paper...
and anything else I can recycle.
I love COLOR
and TEXTURE...
so I get really excited watching
the colors merge
and blend together as I paint.
The day after a painting session
is always full of wonderful surprises
and a large stack of beautiful papers
to use later
when I'm ready to play in a different box.
I love to paint and create!
_This session was done using tissue paper, acrylic paint, ink, and mica._

Angela, I don't know what Everett Hickam was referring to when he asked you if you could walk on rice paper. However, that is not the reason I am commenting. I just want you to know that I love this! I am in awe of your creativity and your great spirit. You inspire me to the max. Blessings, Anne

Thanks so very much, Bob, Sharon, Linda, and Oiyee! I'm trying to start a blog about 'studio life for mixed media artists"" and have it complement the workshops I'm planning to do in my local area. I really appreciate your comments and feedback. :)
